Rejoignez notre mailinglist In 1755, Jean-Emmanuel de Guinard, knight and counsellor of the King, signified to the ancestors of the actual owners, the authorisation to replant the Clos de Voidon vineyard on the Domaine de Bournet. Since then, the vineyard has always been exploited and in 1992, the Bournet Familly took back directly the reins of their Domaine and have given it back its actual lustre .Proud of their heritage, they cultivate their land with the same passion. They have chosen the plants adapted to their rocky slopes and sun exposition offering wines of great quality. The Domaine de Bournet is the oldest private cellar in south Ardeche. Our ancestors were the first to use concrete tanks and gravity fermentation in 1880.Wines have been created in the cellars of the chateau until 1970 where they aged in oak and chestnut barrels. In 1970, Mr. Raymond de Bournet decided to move the cellar to the actual situation of the domain and thus allowing the use of modern techniques. Today, Danielle and Xavier de Bournet as well as their son Olivier, have taken over the direction of the Domaine and allowed for the traditional expertise to be transmitted one more generation.Since 2000, a new building of 1000 M2 has been built to improve still more the existing quality of their products. |
